The PNP continues to make a mockery of the health and welfare of Jamaicans by giving false information on the readiness of the healthcare system in Jamaica to deal with an Ebola outbreak.
After weeks of suggesting that we are not high risk and that we are prepared for any possible Ebola situation, Dr Fenton Ferguson according to the Gleaner has made a startling revelation, that Jamaica is in fact not ready to deal with an ebola outbreak.
The Health Minister says even with the best of will, the government is constrained. ( Meaning we have no money – hello Minister, hello)
The Health minister says there are some supplies on hand now.
However, he has admitted that the supplies are not available at all institutions.
He also says a major shipment of supplies is expected on the island shortly.

(Bold above are my comments, as the frightening thing I take away from this is the Minister is suggesting we have little or no funds available to deal with Ebola !)
The minister has made a swift 180 degree turn after medical professionals on the ground, obviously tired of the lies being told and the possible risk to their own safety BAWLED out yesterday that we are not ready .
The Minister obviously stung by this criticism by healthcare has once again sought again to save face by speaking the truth about what is the real state of the healthcare system.
Dr Fenton Ferguson, may very well not want to create panic, but his mendacity certainly does not help if anything it makes him an untrustworthy and not a credible person in a field that requires a high level of credibility.
Why was the minister willing to give the country a false sense of security in a world in insecutriy knowing very well what the real situatuiom was . Did he expect the workers who would be at risk to simply sit by and do nothing to protect themselves for fear of upsetting the apple cart.
I once looked at Dr Fenton Ferguson is a good light but his recent actions with the Chik-v situation and now Ebola, is telling me he is willing to protect the party over the people of this country and this is something that Jamaicans ought to take note.
He does not redeem himself now by admitting that we are not ready and given his propensity to lie to the Jamaican public, his claims of a major shipment of stuff coming shortly cannot be taken seriously as that too may just be another one of his many lies.
I think the Minister should pack his bags and go . He has now become one mendacious persons, whose words can no longer be trusted.

Fenton , is not like the average politicians who has a corrosive behaviour or can he be considered to be an antagonist or corrupt as many of those sitting on his side of the fence.
He has touched the lives of many people in this Eastern Parish and his work with young people in the parish is something other members of Parliament should emulate. Dr Fenton Ferguson turned around the lives of many youngsters in that parish and made men , many of whom could have become thugs, to haunt us later on.
Dr Ferguson is very strong on education and is strongly supports the schools in that parish and the results are now showing.
I guess you are at ready to toe the JLP Line and wish your other statements could be erased. I would suggest that you remove the linked article before someone label you a hypocrite. Are you now prepared to declare that your blog is officially part of the JLP propaganda machine? Is this the PR efforts needed that spoke about a day or two ago? How much are they paying you Jay (for the sake of transparency)? 😀

Clearly, I mentioned the man has made a change because he now decides to protect the party vs the people and that is not something I will stand for.
You see I give credit were it is due and I will lash out when the situations calls for that, which is more than I can say for many amongst us, who are willing to remain silent because speaking would make appear to be against those whom they once support.
Fenton in this situation has chosen a side, one which is one for the people and that must be recognized and called out, which is clearly what I did.
Jamaicans are so often unable to distinguish between write and wrong and so if you say something good when the person does good and you lash them, when they go astray, the word hypocrite immediately appears.
PR for the JLP, really, give me a break.
Difference between how Jamaicans react and the reaction in first world countries on the matter of accountability You are as good as your last performance.
