Government did a tremendous job with Matthew preparation

I have been around for over 40 years and I have been through at least five hurricanes, three in Jamaica and two in the Eastern Caribbean.

The preparedness for Hurricane Matthew by this government is the best I have ever seen in the Caribbean, it was simply first class.

The various committees were activated early,  their were constant updates on the regular media and even more on social media and the entire country was being provided with information.

For the first time in my life, I say more Jamaicans taking this threat more seriously  than any other and that spoke to the increased level of awareness of our people.

Anyone who could claim they had no idea what was taking place, was either living under a rock or was a darned lair.

If this is an indication of how the present government plans to lead the country, then this is a wonderful sign.
