While many continue to provide partial crime statistics in their effort to make a point, I have been collating crime numbers over the last few years and will now present a comprehensive analysis on murder number for each year from 1970 – 2018 ( 41 years) along with the various crime measures that have been employed by both parties and the effect of each of these on the murder rate.
I was absolutely blown away by the results which I came upon after careful analysis of the data.
The data while showing a dismal failure of Jamaica to effectively address the murder rate, it shows that one government more than the other have been able to get better results over the period under review .
The question therefore is, why have we not been able to sustain the gains made by one government under the other and get crime down to what is considered to be acceptable world standard levels.
