Pork Barrel to now open before Parish Council Elections

The PNP having been stung by the latest Bill Johnson poll as well as it’s own internal poll, is at this time meeting to devise a winning strategy going forward. I have no confirmation as yet, but I am sure that master startegist and former PNP leader and Prime Minister, PJ Patterson, will be leading the charge.

A couple months ago the IMF warned the PNP not to use its money in support populist policies, but given the wake up calls by these two polls, the PNP must seek to find a way to ensure they win both the local and General elections at all cost.

So what can we expect over the next few months

  1. Money will be released to clean verges, gullies , drains  and bushing of the side walks.
  2. Money will be released for Christmas Bollo wuk. This involves more bushing, white washing of the side walks and walls etc.
  3. Money will be released into JEEP to provide more short term jobs at year and and early into next year.
  4. Hospitals will be provided with additional beds and medication.
  5. I expect the government will seek and get a influx of Cuban nurses and Doctors to help out the health sector.
  6. Money will show up to improve water supplies around the country.
  7. Money will show up to do road repairs, patching etc in areas that have been crying out for help.

The above will be welcomed by the population and with a couple thousands of dollars in envelopes and T-shirt, the PNP would have done enough to eek out a victory come next year.

I can assure you however, that if the PNP believes that after all the above it cannot win, then there will be no local government elections.

  1. I expected this all along. There is no way that the PNP would go into the next election without ‘running wid it’. I believe they will purposely spend and fail that quarter’s IMF test and then hope to recover should they be re-elected.

  2. Absolutely! And I will not have a problem with it unless we get off track with the IMF, as I expect PP to have accounted for this spend previously. The easiest way to identify that this is going to happen is simply to look at the budget of the various MInistries to see where they are with their spend for the financial year. Problem?

  3. First series of funds to be issued just as commonsenseja had predicted it would.
