$200M of $800M raised by the JLP leading up to the 2011 elections, unaccounted for ?

Its understood that the JLP raised close to $800m leading up to the elections and spent just about $60om, however  no proper explanation seems to be available to account for the remaining $200m.

In a stormy meeting at their belmont rd  Headquarters over the weekend, their were fiery exchanges as members demanded to see evidence of where the monies collected were spent. It was reported that outspoken MP of parliament Mr Everald  Warmington indicated that he know personally of one donor who donated $100m and wanted the treasurer to state how these funds were expended.

The JLP treasurer reported that the JLP is essentially completely broke .

  1. I swear if they had spent half of that money they would have won the elections hand down. So it begs the question, where and how was this money spent. The fraud squad should be called in.

If you can’t account for your party’s funds how can you want responsibility for the country’s coffers. Scandalous!

    • Keep dreaming. The JLP would have lost the election irrespective of the amount of funds spent. The Dudus saga sealed their fate. But you are right, it is more than $200 million which was misappropriated. Jamaicans are a bunch a thieves…from top to bottom; always running some form of con game. I guess we will have look forward to some unnamed donor to supply the missing US$5 million Olint donation to send to the TCI prosecutor.

    • Have you ever hear this Phrase?…” Tek dem money and vote dem out” …Well that is what happened in the last election… and that is the main reason the JLP is in such a miserable state….. they can’t believe that they would have lost and so badly too, after spending so much on the campaign trail…………………
