Killing of black people is a hate crime, killing white people would have been a terrorist act

The white mad man who went on a rampage in a black church and the subsequent killing of 9 black people has been called a hate crime.  The question is why this is not called a act of terrorism as has been the case of other multiple killings in recent times involving white people.

Classification of this as  terrorist act would immediately setup this as a death penalty case.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
