We have been hearing that growth has returned to the Jamaican economy, but the big question on the lips of the suffering masses, is, where is the growth?
When Jamaica is hit by recession, we all know, we feel it in out daily lives, but not so with economic growth. In Jamaica we hear about growth but somehow cannot seem to feel it and have it translated into something positive in our daily lives. I therefore call the growth in Jamaica, statistical growth but not real growth.
Jamaica maybe one of the few countries in the world that is growing but the country and its inhabitants are getting poorer and poorer and the social and infrastructural systems are falling apart. If these are the signs of growth under the PNP, then may the lord help us, if Jamaica is to see a recession, with the PNP in power !
