Phillip Paulwell just turned 53 and is harbouring thoughts of leading the PNP and ultimately Jamaica, but I warn the people of Jamaica, “If think Portia was a bad Prime Minister, then you ain’t see nothing yet, if Phillip Paulwell is ever elevated to party leader and then Prime Minister”.
While Portia does next to nothing and hopes the public does not take notice, Phillip Paulwell bungles everything he touches, resulting in enormous cost the country. The question therefore one must ask, is why does this man continue to make so much costly mistakes. The answer is, he is the best the PNP thinks they have on energy and mining and he cannot be replaced at this time, while in Phillip’s head, he must get a big project under his belt to propel him to leadership of the party and the country.
The OUR baffling decision not to grant the JPS an increase is a political decision and I say so without apology, it is made at this time to give Phillip Paulwell some fillip ahead of election year and designed to boost the Minister position as he jostles for position of leadership.
JPS is being used a political tool to boost the image of the PNP, but this major blunder by the OUR will only hurt Jamaicans in the end even if it does manage to give the PNP something to campaign about, going into the next election.
Paulwell is a bad minister and the OUR cannot save him from himself, at the same time the OUR is losing credibility faster that the Minister to which it reports.
I am stunned at what the OUR has been reduced to and I think if the members want to rescue their careers, they need to resign en-bloc and allow the Minister destroy himself and not their careers.
