The insistent of the President of the Jamaica Civil Servants Association, Mr Oniel Grant, to remain as a board member in light of the NHT controversy, must be cause for concern for civil servants.
It is one thing not to have recognized that you screwed up on the job, its a totally different matter however to be defiant, when your screw up has pointed out to you and you then insist you have done nothing wrong and will remain put.
The civil servants must now begin to question where Mr Oniel Grant loyalty lies. Is it to those who selected him to be a board member or is it to the contributing members of the trust, in whose interest he was placed their to protect.
When people have lost sight of their role, this is the kind of them that happens and its up to civil servants to accept or not accept Mr Grant’s position. Civil servants must note that these are the same folks negotiating with the government on their behalf, so if his loyalty does not lie with the workers, then where does it lie.
I hope this serves as a wake up all to all Jamaicans to ask questions and never accept anything at face value.
Bless

To me Oniel Grant, Lambert Brown and Vincent Morrison are total soul outs. The public sector workers that they represent are screwed with these guys negotiating on behalf of them. I would not be surprise if they agree again to another wage freeze.
Don’t worry they would rather die of hunger under the PNP than be lead by the JLP.
You get what you expect.
The first MOU was negotiated under the JLP i think. JLP was the one who came with the wage freeze
i think you are wrong in this aspect. The first one was negotiated under the PNP. The JLP continued it.
