Paulwell heart may be in the right place, but his brains does not seem to become engage all the time, which has allowed him to make some grave mistakes. Its not that the guy is stupid, far from that, its that he does a very poor job in analysing what is before him, particularly when the idea is right up his stream. He loves to hear his own voice making grand announcement, very few of which materialize , but he simply moves unto the next big thing. Nothing is wrong in thinking big, the problem is when that decision guiding you is not backed up by facts, or when you set unrealistic expectation and unreasonable demand.
People will then tell you, we will this or that make happen, even though they know fully well it cannot be done, leading us to spend time and resources chasing down ghosts, before we hit that brick wall.
That has been the modus operandi of Phillip Paulwell as a minister, so can you imagine him as a Prime Minister making another big announcement and instructing his minister to execute it by x time, which even the blind could see was unrealistic. He is not going to take no for an answer especially if a large investor who has no name tells him, yes we can make it happen, but we just need the following guarantee .
Portia Simpson Miller was far from being a good Prime Minister, in fact she was bad, but experimenting with Phillip Paulwell as Prime Minister would be disastrous and would set Jamaica back many years and costing billions of dollars in the process.
So the as bad I say Portia was, I’d rather have her as Prime Minister than Phillip Paulwell and coming from me, you know that is not good at all.
The mere thought of having this guy leading the country is downright scary !

Hope for Jamaica lies with either of two people at the helm. Peter Phillips or Christopher Tufton. All the others are “politicians” incapable of providing any form of successful leadership. The focus should be on getting them there.
