Chronicle of that elusive 360 MW Power Plant

I will take Jamaicans on a short history of this 360 MW Project, enjoy.

1. March 25, 2008 the OUR issues a Request for Proposal to build a 480 MW power plant on a build own and operate (BOO) basis.  See attached document here     renewables_rfp_ver_11.
2. April 29, 2011 the OUR advices that JPS won the bid to provide 480MW of base load and was the sole bidder. See attached document here JPS WINS BID
3. April 12, 2011 OUR issued an amended document , which provided an extension to the deadline relating to the project. See amended document here  supply_of_up_to_480mw__base_load_generating_capacity_on_boo_addendum_3_apr_12_2011_0
4. Dec 9, 2011 the OUR announces that JPS has been given the green light to build this 480MW power plant. See link http://jis.gov.jm/jps-to-build-360mw-modern-plant/
5. After missing a number of deadlines for fuel sourcing agreement, by JPS, OUR terminates the process . See attached document media_release_-_our_terminates_jps_360mw_rfp_process
