Successive PNP Government has sentenced the working class people of Jamaican to “life” in poverty and eligible for “parole” after 35 yrs.
The PNP has been in power for a total of 29 yrs between 1972 and now (2014) and the people have another 6 yrs to go before the possible of freedom, from a party that is hell bent on ensuring they expand their support base of poor people. The PNP are more likely to call election next yr and win, before losing in 2020 for a total of 35 yrs .
Persons outside of this country often ask, how on earth a party that has mismanaged this country so much and one that has done the most damage to the Jamaican economy, could have elected the same people to ruin the country for such a long period of time.
I still am baffled by this love affair with a party , which has no clue how to develop a growth based economy despite having run the country for such an extended period of time.
I guess Jamaicans deserves the “punishment” they have received at the hands of the PNP.

Someone said to me ” Jay why are you surprised, the majority of the voters in Jamaica are idiots”.
I would not go as far as say they are idiots, I will however say, they fail to effectively engage their brains before making a decision on what will be the long term impact of their votes on the fate of the country.
