The ” A nuh nuttin ” disease afflicting so many Jamaicans !

Our people have appeared to either lack the mental capacity or are unwilling to make a distinction between what is right and what is wrong.

What is right now becomes a matter of personal judgment regardless of the law of the land and the ” A nuh nuttin ” disease then sets root in those fertile ground, resulting is pervasive rot in the country.

2. A man sells bootleg CD ( illegal), the cops hold unto to him and are stone by the people who shout ” A nuh nuttin” low d man mek im sell im cd dem, so im can send im pickney dem go school, everybody haffi eat a food”.
3. A man just recently establishes his business and in  4 weeks had to fire 4 employees for theft but ” A nuh nuttin”  is just a grand mi tek and d man a gwan like say is a ole heap a money mi peel off a im. D pu#$%y h#@e deh fi dead, a come deal wid man away like say man a tief.
4. A man sets up two ghost companies , which are used to funnel millions of dollars from a free light bulb project , but ” A nuh nuttin” dem fi low d man, d man is a good man, dem man deh look out fi poor people. U can go to dem man deh and say Mr S gee mi a ting nuh and dem man dem will peel off 2 gran gee u. Im a nuh d only man eva tek tings, dem fi low d ting iyah.
5. A gunman goes out in the days robs and kill people and takes back the loot to his community, where he is now the don, the benefactor, but ” a nuh nuttin” we nuh know nuttin bout dat. All we know is dem man den make sure poor people look afta, im send wi pickney go school and im protect we from d gunman dem from round deh so.
6. Parents teach kids to cheat in exam, but “a nuh nuttin” im  a nuh d first fi cheat a long time dat a gwan. Dem a gwan like say only fi dem pickney one fi go good school.
7. Students cheat and university, but ” A nuh nuttin” is just a exam, its better to cheat and repeat.
8. Senior managers steal millions of the company money and is quietly dismissed, but as far as the manager is concerned ” A nuh nuttin”, a nuh mi alone a tief a nuff a dem a tief but a just because dem nuh like me why dem fire me.
9.  A politician  builds on authorizes a contractor to build on government land, but ” a nuh nuttin” a poor people mi a look out fah. The poor people say ” a nuh nuttin” d man is a good man, low d man mek im do im ting
10. A man woman decides to leave him because he is abusive, he decides to hurt her badly and ” A nuh nuttin” she want come diss up big man mek people laugh afta me, me did a deal wid har wicked iyah, cause man a nuh punk.

The lines between what is right and wrong is blurred by our increasing ability to in our ownway justify our actions sometimes against the background of ” a nuh me alone a dweet”.

Can Jamaica cure its people from the ” A nuh nuttin disease” ?
