Jamaicans are like ” The frog and the boiling water”

The story of the frog and boiling water goes like this.

If a frog is placed in a pot of boiling water, it will immediately jump out. If the frog is however placed in a pot of cold water that is slowly heated, the frog will remain in that pot until is dies ie cooked alive.

The story is often used as a metaphor for the inability or unwillingness of people to react to significant changes that occur gradually.

If the Government of Jamaica at the start of this year had said, we will add  $6.00 to each liter of petrol the country would be up in arms and if we are not careful, we would have a riot on our hands, right.

If the price of fuel over goes up $2.00 this week, then down $0.50 next week and then up $.85  the following week, then before long $6.00 has been added to each liter of fuel without a whimper from the Jamaican people.

This is exactly what is currently taking place in Jamaica today. The situation is gradually deteriorating and Jamaicans simply sit and listen to the crap being given to us by those in leadership.

We must all put our shoulders to the wheel is all of us.

When there is any form of success however its only one set of persons who get’s the credit and it’s those in power .

Are we willing to continue being the frog in the water that is being heated slowly or are we willing to take action.
