Well it’s another ribbon cutting ceremony designed just for Portia Simpson Miller. Now unlike other ribbon cutting ceremony, this was not to open a physical structure, but nonetheless we had to have ribbon and a pair of scissors for the Prime Minister to cut.
At the ribbon cutting ceremony to signify the start of many shipments of clinker from Jamaica to Venezuela: Jamaica’s Prime Minister, Portia Simpson Miller, second from right, Venezuelan Ambassador to Jamaica, Maria Jacqueline Mendoza Ortega, centre, Phillip Paulwell, Minister of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining, left, Carib Cement’s General Manager, Anthony Haynes, second from left, and Minister of Industry, Investment & Commerce, Anthony Hylton, right.
This is our Prime Minister at her best. Give her a plane ticket and a pair of scissors and she is good to go, but put a mike in her face and talk about corruption. Azan, crime or the economy and you would have been disrespectful to the Prime Minister.
