The Jamaica customs department have been singing praises on its find last week of close to a ton of cocaine valued at over a $1billion all destined for some other country. The customs department would therefore have protected the lives of the people in those country’s to where the drug was supposed to end up.
What I found instructive is we have been to to find the stuff not meant to remain here in Jamaica, but we seem to have one hell of a time finding the many guns and bullets, which seems to flow freely through the wharf and unto the streets in Jamaica.
I would be a little more happy if the local custom officials were able to stop the constant flow of guns and bullets coming into our country, so more local lives can be saved !
Customs over to you.
