Jamaicans are indeed that stupid !

The Finance Minister of Jamaica and a bunch of Technocrats are now on their way to China to meet with Chinese officials on a wide range of financial matters.

Given the current economic climate and the financial constraints facing the country, commonsenseja must question the financial prudence of the current administration. Now it was just a few months ago the Prime Minister led a high level delegation to China, which consisted of member of the private sector as well as four journalist as well as some cabinet members who could not hold such positions even in Haiti.

One therefore must ask, why that trip was not better planned and we drop those redundant cabinet members such as Robert Pickersgill, the four journalist and the private sector members and instead take Peter Phillips and his team.

Jamaicans appear to be  ok, with the government flying its people all over the world vs using the technology available to have discussions eg Video conferencing and consolidating international travel to save expenses, where that travel must take place.

I find it rather instructive that we have not heard any howls of protest from the private sector and members of the media for the Prime Minister to provide a full report on her recent trip to China, after-all many were a part of that delegation.

The Jamaican population is being taken for a ride by a populist leader who is riding on the backs of the poor and for some reason the poor and soon poor appears blind to what is happening to them right in front of their eyes.

We fail to hold the government accountable, we refuse to demand answer to questions and also refuse to let of voices be heard in this regard.

We have moved from having employed this folks to become their house slaves and ironically, many appears to be loving it.

The Prime Minister of Thailand today is under siege as the people demand her removal from office.

The Jamaican Prime Minister and her large whatnot needs to be given a wake  up call as to who really wields power in this country and that it cannot be business as usual.

I have never seen a worst performing government and bunch of lazy people who appears to be content with simply having enough to eat today, giving no thought to the future.

How can a country where people are being murdered at a rate of now 4 per day, be this docile, with a Government which has consistently fail to look after the security of the people and in so doing preserve life, how come ?

What will it take to spur Jamaicans to action ?

For those who are ready to jump and say I appear to not like the democratic process, I say, I refuse to suffer in silence simply to say we have a democratic process. Democracy is not simply about our right to vote every 5 yrs, it’s about ensuring that those who we elect and give the RIGHT to lead RESPECT that right, RESPECT the people and work in the interest of the people.

Failing that, they would have lost all right to continue to lead.

We have allowed these folks on trample all over us and wreck this country while we gleefully run behind then jumping and dancing and collecting the scrap from their tables.

Is that how we intended to continue?

Is it not time that the political process benefits the people ( not the few red necks) but the majority, who just happens to be poor and are the one who line up to vote these folks into power.

The big man won’t complain as regardless of whom is in power he is ok, the sad story is the majority have no voice or should I say refuse to shout out until every 5 years
