As usual commonsenseja will seek to go against the flow of the general populace and instead seek to put a completely different spin on this Caricom issue , the most recent of which is Trinidad’s decision to deport 13 Jamaican Nationals
I am encouraging Jamaicans to cool down a bit, stop and think for a few moments and be completely honest with themselves ( I have already done so).
Ask yourself the following questions
- If you could live in any country in the world would your first choice Jamaica. If your answer to the above is Yes, then state why and if no state why.
- If USA, Canada, UK and the EU were to open their borders tomorrow ie no visa requirements, you can go and stay as long as you wish and no one would harass, you, would you go ? If your answer is Yes, state why and if No, please state why.
- If you were to leave Jamaica, what would make you want to come back to Jamaica ie under what conditions would you return to live in Jamaica.
I do not want to predict the answers, but I am sure that many Jamaicans if given the opportunity to leave, would do so in hurry, but why is this so?
Is it the crime rate, is it corruption, is it the high poverty rate, is it the low standard of living, is it the less than desirable healthcare, is it due to the few opportunities here in Jamaica.
I am sure its a combination of the above and guess what all the above are largely determined by the government.
So if the factors above are the main reasons we want to leave and the government by virtue of its management of the resources of the country has a large influence on the above and can change them, why are we so silent and not push our politicians to do their freaking job.
The reasons the Trinidadians and Barbadians don’t want us in their country, is due to our tendency to be destructive , but even more foremost in their minds is they want the good life in their country for their own people.
Why should they plan properly, hold their elected leaders accountable, never worship their elected leaders , work hard to get a good economy and a bunch of loud mouth who has failed to educate themselves properly, fail to hold their elected leaders accountable, live big life on borrowed funds, come in and enjoy the spoils, nuttin tall go so.
My fellow bloggers as harsh as this may sound and I am sure many will be offended, but there is some merit in what I have mentioned above.
Unless we fix Jamaica’s rot, no treaty, no agreement, no ruling will change the perception our Caribbean neighbours have of us.
Unless we insist that our current government and the ones to come are held accountable for RESULTS, nothing will change and we will continue to be rejected by all and sundry.
So stop think and direct your anger at this government as after 0ver 20 yrs on unbroken stewardship they not only failed the country, they have also broken the Jamaican spirit.
Get our Prime Minister to speak to us, we should NOT have to beg her or set an appointed and send her the questions ahead of time for her to speak with us hell no. Our reporter should not have to risked being assaulted by security personnel in trying to get answers from our Prime Minister on the nation’s business.
ENOUGH OF THE BULLSH$T let’s rise up against the politicians TODAY and demand they work to fix this NIGHTMARE that they have created for us.
A dat me seh.

I had vowed never to share this info, but In cannot help but do so. An associate of mine on mine in a small Caribbean country said, they like when the PNP is in power.
So I said, ” why would that be the case, when you don’t live in Jamaica”.
He said ” When PNP in power a get plenty kitty” .
I said ” huh, what the link”.
He said, ” Things normally get hard and so Jamaican women want to come here, so I will invite them with offer for jobs, pay their airfare and they stay with me. I will have my way with them, then tell them the job thing not working out and send them back to Jamaica. I will then send for another and the cycle is repeated”.
I said ” That is disgusting”.
He said ” I am not the only one doing that many others are doing the same thing”.
He continued , its harder now because the immigration officials have gotten tougher and not letting them through.
I wanted to puke !
Maybe ultimately we should be angry with ourselves. We keep blaming others (Bajans, Trinis, Caymanians, The US, our politicians) when we have ourselves only to blame. The politician does not cause someone to flout di rules. He only enables ppl who are already prone to breaking the law to continue doing so as long as they vote for him. Maybe if parents raised their children better they wouldn’t be so ready to break the law in di fus’ place when dem tun big man and big ‘ooman.
I am not seeing anything to indicate that the REVOLUTIONARY spirit of Sam Sharpe, Marcus Garvey, Paul Bogle and Muhammad Ali is still alive!! Our people seem to be turning on each other instead of identifying the real enemies of progress. In my neck of the woods, people are been robbed in the middle of the day 11 am – 3 pm in areas that have a lot of activity.
