Bajan Government Minister ” Hidden message”, that was missed.

Barbados’ minister of industry and international business, Donville Inniss,  said the Gleaner should go deal with the ” rot” in Jamaica. He further went unto say ” Barbados is in Good Hands”

That final sentence is clearly a very loaded message , which many appears to have missed as they rushed to Jamaica’s defence in the face of what is seen as an ” attack” on the country.

The statement above, is clearly attributed to the leadership of Barbados ” safe hands” and can be interpreted to mean, the leadership of Barbados is steady and is in control of the affairs of the country.

It can also be seen as the ministry questioning Jamaica’s  leadership and by extension, is suggesting that unlike Barbados, Jamaica is not in “safe hands”.

The subtle questioning of the capability of the Prime Minister given the “rot” in Jamaica, is not doubt part of the Bajan Minister and this appears to have escaped the attention of many, including Mr Caricom AJ Nicholson.

AJ I think you need to ask some questions of the Bajan Minister as you rush to push Jamaica to be a part of something, when clearly those who we are seeking to be friends with hold us in disdain ad contempt.

I know AJ will try to downplay this one, but truth be told, the Bajan Minister is correct in every aspect.

I challenge anyone to deny that.

  1. You see what you want to see.

I see him talking to the Gleaner and saying the Gleaner should mind Jamaica business and leave Barbados business .

in common parlance, you a watch people business while fi you own a spoil.
if anything the swipe was aimed at the Gleaner

    • We already addressed the first part of the message ie fix the rot at home, no issues there.

Barbados is in good hands was certainly not in reference to the Gleaner, but as you say, you see what you see.

Hence the “hidden” message that most would most likely have missed.

      • AJ Nicholson puts the interest of Caricom over the interests of the private sector, caricom is an entity that is not working and member states follow their own rules. Furthermore, it is plagued by an implementation deficit, many reports have been compiled but nothing has been implemented. The minister is very rude, but most Jamaicans want nothing to do with caricom, so we will mind our business
