Given the major fallout after the closely contested leadership race in the JLP , I feel like hope is slowly slipping away from myself and many other Jamaicans.
The PNP is wrecking the country like no other political party has ever done or would ever be allowed to do , while the JLP is in totally disarray, with the fighting and purging currently taking place. A JLP that ( given its smaller hardcore base ) is not united cannot beat the PNP, whose base has been widened by the fact that more and more Jamaicans have become poorer in the last two year.
This fact means the JLP is likely to lose the next election, which I think could be called as early as the 2014 but not beyond 2015. The thought of living under PNP leadership is repugnant enough for me to pack up my bags and go once again.
Most of the family has left within the last yr, with the remainder slated to leave sometime next year.
It’s sad when one has to leave his homeland to seek opportunities elsewhere, but I feel many like myself who refuse to accede to constant corruption, high levels of violence and indiscipline have no choice. I don’t plan to be a hero for Jamaica, hell no !
I am not sure what is going to become of Jamaica, lets say in another 10yrs, but if one should plot the decline of the county under the leadership of the PNP, one can get a good feeling on where things are likely to be if they win another two or even three terms.
The projection in terms of where the dollar would be as well as murder is so scary, that anyone who does not look to flee can be considered to be a very brave soul.

I can’t say I blame you for wanting to leave. It is also dawning on me too that it is time to consider this option.
The pnp operates Jamaica like its back yard, the administration has shown no respect to the media and Prime Minister does not believe that she is accountable to the people, only to the pnp.
