Spoke with a few friends of mine today after getting confirmation on the news I had received yesterday that Richard Azan was going to be reappointed.
One friend said to me ” Jay, I don’t know about you, but I no longer have any interest in Jamaica. No longer we even concerned about corruption, but now we have moved to endorse it, by virtue of what the Prime Minister did today”.
Another one said ” This is a complete disgrace, but you know something, Jamaicans for the most part lack moral and ethical standard and so I am not too surprised.
I share the views of those above, the issue was never one about criminal conduct of even a case were we believe Richard Azan benefited from his actions, it’s about moral and ethics. I have always known and I have said it repeatedly, that the PNP administration is not only corrupt, but they endorse corruption as seen by the many scandals every time the are in office.
I have been made to understand that a very influential overseas newspaper is set to release something on this sordid affair and will question the commitment of the Prime Minister to stamp out corruption in Jamaica.
The actions carried out today by Portia Simpson Miller is said to be called a betrayal of decency , public trust and a complete disgrace.
I firmly believe that what the Prime Minister did today, was to say ” to hell with you all, I support corruption as long as it’s a member of my party”.
I am sorry, but I don’t believe I can continue to live in a country like this !

I will continue to say that we are being delusional in thinking that those who have benefited tremendously from a corrupt system would be in a hurry to address such a deficit. A few years ago my Brother asked this question on a TV program. “Why should we expect those who have led us on a program of Social decay and degeneracy to somehow initiate a transformation”? He was told in no uncertain terms that he would never be allowed back. Nothing short of a REVOLUTION will suffice.
Jay, after your post the other day, griping after Audley’s loss, I thought you left already/ It really gave me a belly full of laugh.

Did you support a squatter for leader Jay?
That’s all you care about. Once it is your precious PNP in power it is see no evil and hear no evil. People like you is why the politicians behave like this. Because they know that the diehards will always support them and to hell with those who don’t.
And then Andrew made his move today…. I don’t know how made oonu ruler over morality or ethics for that matter.
This proves the resignation was nothing but a sham to keep the people quiet. Now that they believe the dust has settled, its business as usual. Notice that the May Pen Mayor is still there.
Yup, this is one sick country.
What the PNP has done is nothing short of treachery !
To add insult to injury, Roger Clarke opened his mouth obviously convinced that the Country is now a one party state.
