The community held by Member of Parliament and Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller has become a menace to workers who walk from Three miles to their places of work along spanishtown rd.
Last week I reported that at least 6 persons were robbed in different circumstances between the entrance on Marcus Garvey dr and Spanishtown rd.
This morning the Hunts Bay police would have a report of at least two incidences which occurred along the spanishtown entrance to Majesty Gardens where close to 8 persons were held up and robbed at gun point.
It did not matter that the workers were walking in a group of 6 in one case, as 5 men held that group at gun point and relieved them of money and cellphones.
This has now become a hot spot and the police post that was supposed to have been in the area has now been removed, which has resulted in a new spate of robberies taking place in that area.
What is the Hunts Bay police going to do about this growing menace , which is predicted to get worse as it gets closer to christmas?
When will the cops at hunts bay act ?

Why don’t you refer your questions directly to the most inept Jamaican Police Commissioner I have ever seen? You seem to hold him in such high regards that he would be more than happy to answer any questions you might throw in his direction. Why this guy is still Commissioner of Police is beyond me. Why do we have our Police Force staff deployment at the highest levels during the day and have skeleton staff at nights, when most of our serious crimes occur between 6:00PM to 6:00AM? Why don’t we have sustained roadblocks throughout these crime ridden areas during this deadly time period when the thugs become mobile and in search of blood?
I am surprised by the fact that you refrained from accusing the Minister of “Insecurity” of being responsible for the increase in robberies in PSM constituency and calling for his resignation. You must have mustered great strength to resist that urge to label these events as PNP-driven. 😀
