Why would it take 6 hrs for the Hunts Bay Police CIB to collect a statement

I am dumbstruck how a case involving armed robbery is not given the level of attention that one would expect from the police. A armed robbery which took place early this morning and which involves a gun has not yet been logged at the Hunts Bay police station because

1. The persons responsible for taking the report is not yet at work
2. The AC in the CIB department is broken and is being repaired.

 

Now commonsenseja has someone tracking the phone in question, and has been able to determine the exact whereabouts of the phone as it moves around in close proximity to where it was stolen.

If this matter is given just five minutes by the Hunts Bay police, not only will the phone be found, but also a gun which was used in the robbery. Even if the person who has the phone now is not the one who took it, it does not take much of an investigation to locate the persons who stole the phone and recover a firearm.

This is how crimes does NOT get solved in Jamaica !

Then we wonder why people take the law into their hands.
