It’s simple for me, really it’s that simple, if you don’t like something you move to change it. It may not happen the same day but you take steps to have it changed.
If the majority of Jamaicans wanted an “end” to the murderous rampage and the constant trail of intestines, brains and blood of our people being splattered on our streets and in our homes on a daily basis , then steps would have been taken to end all this.
If the safety of our citizens was a priority and the people were concerned about their own safety, then we would have agitated and taken those steps necessary to ensure that our safety was assured.
Our economic development is largely tied to what is going on in the rest of the world and we have less control over that, but the state of security in the country is all in our hands, with very little interference from outside countries.
So for me the increases in robberies, murders, rapes and other crimes are what the people of Jamaica wants and so this situation will continue until it reaches the point where Jamaicans no longer want or embrace this as a way of life (more like death).
The big question is how many more murders, shootings, robberies, rape will it take to get to the point where we have had enough.
In a country where the majority of its residents do not give support to criminality, crimes are low or are trending low because the people decided that enough was enough.
Our politicians especially those who on the PNP side have been given the level of latitude that I have never seen given to the JLP or to any other politician in the Caribbean region and the end result is a the broken down remnants or what was a the place of choice to live in the Caribbean.
Jamaica is now the place you come to get rob, shot or killed and Jamaicans are still happy about it.
Hear we hear but we nuh care.
This is what the majority of Jamaicans want.

You completely miss the boat on this one. The reason most don’t care is because most of these murders are restricted to the ghettos and the people getting killed are ghetto people and for the most part, criminals killing their own cronies or thugs on the opposite side. How many Middle or Upper Class Jamaicans are killed each year?
I notice you tend to blame Politicians for everything. What about our incompetent Police/Police Commissioner?
I keep hearing the police commissioner begging politicians for crime fighting tools, be it legislation or equipment.
I blame politicians of course, didn’t Bunting have the solution for crime?
What happen to all the grand plans he had when he was in opposition?
I will not let them off the hook, they are the main reason things are the way they are today.
Bunting has been a MAJOR FAILURE, good businessman but the worst National Security Minister ever !
On another note in speaking about missing the boat. Are you aware that the so called “ghetto” people are largely the one’s who decide which government gets elected.
These group of people represent the hardcore support of the two political parties and they are the ones who ultimately decide , which of the two parties run the country.
The middle and the upper class rarely plays any significant role in the results of a general election, I guess you did not know that.
If Barbican has no water, its not the middle and upper class residents who are going to block the rd and light fire and demand that the water supply is restored. That will be done by the so called ghetto people of Barbican and as a result of their actions guess what, the middle and upper class benefits because 9 or ot 10 times water will be restored in a hurry.
So Wayne Jnr I did not miss the point, I think you missed it completely by failing to understand how things really work in Jamaica and therefore missed the subliminal message in the above written post.
The rich makes the most of the good of bad decisions of the majority , which just happens to be poor .
IMHO, Jay is a criminal lover. He does not believe in extrajudicial killings, yet wants somthing to magically happen to curb crime. I say, let loose the JCF and the JDF and let them hunt down these thugs and kill them on the spot, no questions asked. We are wasting our limted resources on INDECOM instead of real Police work. JAY is a real Hypocrite and loves criminals.
Let me destroy that argument you have just presented. I guess you don’t live in the ghetto and do not associate with ghetto people. I don’t live in the ghetto but I associate with a lot of honest and hard working young men and women from the Ghetto.
Now imagine you go happen to go into the ghetto with two of your brethrens in a white toyota corolla. Now the police got wind of a robbery that took place minutes earlier and was allegedly committed by three men in a white toyota corolla who were armed high powered rifles.
The police spots your car, see three men aboard and immediately open firing killing 3 gunmen and recovered two firearms.
Wayne Jnr and his friends have just become the victim of what he supports, simply by being in the company of two friends and being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Now, tell me is this what you are advocating?
I know you will say, you only want cops to kill men who shot at them, but guess what, when cops have the license to kill as you suggest, they aren’t going to wait for you to shoot.
Come Wayne Jnr tell the blog if this is what you are advocating.
While you are at it read again my many post on my comprehensive crime plan, which speaks to intelligence driven crime fighting methods and reliance less raw hardcore policing, which has failed us .
You are very good at twisting people’s words to try to make your point. The reality my friend is the Police know who the real bad guys are and guess what, it is driven by the same “intelligence” you so eloquently spoke about. The problem is intellligence alone can’t bring about convictions of these thugs, since eyewitnesses is what it takes and very few are willing to go to attend an identification parade much less show up in court. My sister spent a number of years in the ODPP and she would tell me all the horrendous stories, where the day before, witnesses would agree to testify against these murders, only to change the story on the stand the very next day and there was nothing she could do about it. Her only choice was to give up and leave the Island in disgust. Do you know who provide the names of these witnesses to these criminals? Yes, the same criminal lawyers. That is how they win so many cases, not good lawyering. The other is that these Judges fraternize with the same Criminal Attorneys that appear before them, something that is frown upon in most civilize countries. We won’t go into some of the other shinanians that takes place with some of Judges on circuit court outside of the corporate area. Do you think corruption stops at the doorsteps of the Jamaican Judiciary?
