Jamaican Prime Minister leaves the island yet again !

Simpson Miller leaves the island today, October 17, and will return on Saturday, October 19.

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller will tomorrow, October 18 join a cadre of female heads of government and global women leaders to be inducted in the prestigious International Women’s Forum (IWF) Hall of Fame.

I cannot recall any other Prime Minister making so many overseas trips in such a short time, many of which I consider to have been trips she could have not gone, in order to deal with the mess at home. Obviously Portia Simpson Miller thinks the country is on solid feet and does not need her to be around to guide the ship through choppy seas and pass those icebergs.

It appears that Portia Simpson Miller is more comfortable out of Jamaica, than she is being in Jamaica, which speaks volumes about her stewardship.

I have asked for the following records under the Access to Information act.

  1. The number of trips the Prime Minister has made since January 2012
  2. The total cost of those trips up to Oct 11, 2013.

I guess I will have to add his latest trip at some other point in time.

Our jet setting Prime Minister really a tun up the frequent flyer miles, Hahahahah at poor people expense.

I recall the Portia saying she must project PJ’s legacy and one of PJ’s legacy was to oversea the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich that Jamaican has ever seen. In this regard Portia is right on target in protecting PJ’s legacy, while at the same time creating her own.

Portia champion for more poor and poverty
