Portia Simpson-Miller leaves the island next week for Cayman to discuss football

Jamaicans are being murdered at a rate of 4 per day yet our Prime Minister remains silent.

The economy is sinking faster than a rock, yet the Prime Minister remains silent.

Crime like robberies are on the rise, yet the Prime Minister remains silent.

The energy sector is in a crises yet the Prime Minister remains silent.

Lawlessness has taken over the transport center and transportation system, yet the Prime Minister remains silent.

Hopelessness is on the face on hundreds of thousands of Jamaicans, yet the Prime Minister remains silent.

Poverty is on the increase yet the Prime Minister remains silent

Unemployment rate is up, yet the Prime Minister remains silent.

There is a conference to discuss football in Cayman and the Prime Minister is packed ready to take that flight and is ready to speak.

I am therefore left to wonder, what does our Prime Minister think are the most important things for Jamaica right now. I know she did not invite herself, but a polite

” I want to thank you for inviting me to speak at this event, but given the grave situation the country  finds itself in at this point it time, I think it would be best for me to remain at home to steady the ship and work to bring things under control. There are some important and critical  issues at home , which I need to address, why I have to politely say I would not be in a position to address the esteemed members of Concacaf.

I must assure you however that given what we have planned for the country, this situation will change soon and at that time I would feel a lot more comfortable address the conference. Once again thank you for your invitation and good luck.

That would be the response of a responsible Prime Minister, one who holds him/herself responsible and accoutable.

The fact that our Prime Minister has made herself available to leave Jamaican and speak at this conference sums up where her priority and by extension, the priority of the government of Jamaica.

Only God can save Jamaica from this level on ineptitude !

  1. Since the Prime Minister is so big on delegation why didn’t she let Natalie Neita-Headley went instead. These are the areas she feels most comfortable with, so she’ll shun the tough ones such as crime and the economy.

  2. The Prime Minister is now in Cayman talking about football, while Jamaicans are being murdered at rate of 7 per day. 7 were killed on heroes day and 16 shot between Monday and Tuesday.

What a great and responsible Prime Minister we have in Portia Simpson Miller
