PNP administration taxes hand cart operators !

The party that loves the poor the most has decided to tun up d ting on the poorest and most vulnerable in Jamaica. Handcart operators in Kingston will now be required to pay the the KSAC a tax of $3000 per annum to operate in and around Kingston.

What a wicked and uncaring government, who has decided to go after the poor in this country with a vengeance, never before seen in this country. Word is that a tax on pedal cyclist may also be on the drawing board.

When the PNP is down with Jamaica, we will have only the very rich and the very poor.

Thank you Portia, job well done, you have just created a new class of poor and in so doing, you have expanded your support base.

  1. Where is Mr. Holness to publicly condemn this most deprived act.

  2. I see none of the comrades are against the new taxes on the poor hand cart man, they all agree with this new taxation on the most vulnerable in the society.
    Typical comrade behaviour !

  3. Some of them (comrades) are too ashamed to speak.

  4. I can hear Test saying ” bwoy you and clovis are really unto something, unno seem to saying the same things way too often”.

Test I can assure you, this is how the independent mind works, not like comrades who when they see the sky falling and chaos is around under their stewardhip, denies that the sky is falling and chaos abounds.

Instead they will say the sky you think you see falling is opportunuties and the chaos you speak about does not exist and if it does in small parts its not us to be blame instead its both of us ie JLP/PNP that are to be blamed.

Comardes NEVER accept responsibility for when things go wrong, but are quick to embrace anything that appears to be going right, even if they had no impact on the outcome of those things that are going right.

Its for this reason why comrades and chief comrade PSM are silent.

Heh Heh Heh……. I swear, you are one and the same or maybe he is a troll and scouring your blog for daily inspiration for is cartoons. Notice how, like you, he is infatuated with PSM? Coincidence? Or is it that all labourites think alike, with gutter tendencies? 😀

Jay, the handcart operators appears to be wholewhelming in support of the new KSAC fees and they are labourites by proximity. Maybe they know something you and the other political agitators are oblivious to. BTW, are you saying that the non-PNP Counselors were against the new handcart fees and only PNP members were in support of the licensing fees(I know you do not have such facts at your disposal and the headline were purely for sensationalism purposes)?. Nice try….wheel and come again.

      • So I take it therefore by what you said above you are in support of the increased taxation on the poor by the PNP, while giving duty free concessions to those who are rich.

That sums up for me where Jamaica is headed. The poor handcart man dem know seh wid d pnp even if dem bawl out Mama P nah listen d news so she nah go hear, so dem haffi pay it.

Lazy Andrew Holness has not come out and said a word, so the poor handcarts guys have no one to lend them support, so what they cave in.

PNP is really about making the poor poorer and creating a new class of poor and so they they have done a wonderful job

      • Seems some folks have great difficulty in identifying willing support vs coercion.
Did you miss the report that the same hand cart operators were invited to a meeting with the Mayor and other council members and only 1 person showed up for that meeting to discuss this new tax.

I guess that represents overwhelming support, right ?

We will pay is not the same as I am in support. I will pay because I have no choice, if I had I would not because I do not support it.

Here is what the guys from the very link you sent me said
“Me nuh have no problem if the police nuh trouble wi,” he said.
        Another said
“We will work with it because mi can’t take the police harassment and the running up and down when dem coming. If is that it take, then fine.

Translated it means ” We will pay because if we don’t we will be harassed by the police and we cannot live with that”.

Does not sound like overwhelming support to me, but I guess comrades see things differently.

Water rates is up 18%, do you overwhelmingly support that increase and if not will you pay ?

        Get my point

        • When the jlp wanted to regulate downtown, the party was attacked by the pnp and the party that loves the poor will be taxing handcart men. Jay, the informal economy in Jamaica should be regulated, even taxi men and shopkeepers should pay taxes, but taxing handcartmen is ridiculous, because they don’t make any money. However, if a fee must be implemented then the government should refrain from waiving the duties for expensive cars for their friends
