Our Jet setting Prime Minister jets off once again on another overseas trip, the Jamaica Gleaner is reporting. She will be attending the 68th annual UN General Assembly summit.
While in New York, the Prime Minister will attend the formal sessions of the General Assembly and is scheduled to have bilateral meetings with the Presidents of Nigeria, Ghana, Panama, Equatorial Guinea, Honduras and Tanzania and deliver Jamaica’s Policy Statement to the United Nations.

Something caught my eyes for a moment there and here it is
deliver Jamaica’s Policy Statement to the United Nations.
Does anyone here in Jamaica knows about this policy statement ?
Wouldn’t it be nice for our Prime Minister to share this statement with us, before she goes and present it overseas?
What did she present last yr.
Here is what Portia Simpson Miller presented at the 67th UN General Assembly.
Mr. President,
There is a tale of a young woman from a deep, rural village in Jamaica who was approached by a political candidate seeking to represent her community. “What is it you want most from your representatives?” the candidate asked her. The young woman considered the question for a moment. Slowly and thoughtfully she replied,
All I want is an opportunity…I want you to provide me and my family with a living environment in which I can work, contribute and prosper. Most of all, I want you to provide for my family an environment that is safe and secure”.
More on what she said.

What has Portia Simpson Miller and the PNP done to address the concerns of the thousands of Jamaicans represented by that tale above.
Now I see why Portia refuses to speak, she does not want her very insincere and hollow words come back to haunt her in the future.
Hmm

Lets hope she just read what they give her to read at the assembly and don’t do any interviews because we can’t take anymore embarrassment.
