British Prime Minister cancels trip after death of 4 British Citizens In Kenya

On Monday, the prime minister tweeted:

“I’m cutting short a visit to Balmoral to return to Downing St to chair Cobra late this afternoon, dealing with the Kenya terror attacks.”

A Cobra meeting is an emergency response committee, a get together of ministers, civil servants, the police, intelligence officers and others appropriate to whatever they are looking into.

I am sure the British Prime Minister could have designated one of his ministers to handle this situation but he did not, he is the man elected to lead the country and so he decided to lead from in front

Now contrast the response of the British Prime Minister to a situaion in a foreign country thousands of miles away , where “only” 4 British Nationals were killed, to our own Prime Minister, Portia Simpson Miller.

Mrs Miller said last evening she only speaks when there is something of substance to speak about, otherwise she will continue to remain silent as Jamaicans are murdered at a rate of 4 per day every day.

I guess we get what the majority wants, which is proof that the majority is not always right. I hope they are reading this and see how real leader respond in the face of crises, in particular when their nationals are being killed.

Once again the David Cameron cancels his trip to deal with the crises in Kenya, which has resulted in the death of 4 British Nationals.

Sunday, Sept 22, 2013  and it’s after 2pm and our Prime Minister Protia Simpson Miller and her cabinet as well as party stalwarts  are dancing to reggae music at the National Area totally oblivious to what is happening on Waltham Park Rd .

Meanwhile over in Waltham terrified residents are packing up to leave the area as terrorist unleash a series of deadly attack on the citizens in this area.

WTF , who cares ???
