The Information Minister is an embarrassment to the Government and people of Jamaica and should resign her current post. She offers nothing of substance at press conferences, she too often does not know, very often is ill prepared and is obnoxious to say the least.
In the BBC RADIO report last evening, they reporters could be heard snickering as they spoke about her approach as she said she would not be taking any questions about the biggest scandal in Jamaica this yr.
Sandrea needs to step aside before she causes more damage to Jamaica’s image on the international scene.
Why is the press association of Jamaica is not calling for sanctions against Sandrea Falconer who appears to be anti-media, I am shocked they have tolerated her obnoxious behaviour for so long

what would you have liked to hear from an ‘informed’ information minister at that conference. What would have been a good answer ?
i..e would you have prefeered the info minister to be like Bagdad Bob…telling people what they want to hear, even if it is not true.
They are answerable to the people of Jamaica. Cullcull what would have been responsible is .
You called emergency cabinet meeting, you review the report you have a statement prepared and you come with answers.
That is what you call accountability.
Not we nuh have nuh answer fu unno m so unno can nuh badda ask we nuttin.
When we have d time we deal wid it.
But I guess you will accept anything, hmm
The information minister cannot call a cabinet meeting. So if PSM did not , what do you expect the info minister to say ?. my point is , she can only give information to the extent that there is information to give !!!
Granted the government is acting too slow, but that is not the information ministers fault !!!
She is the face of the Government and the only one we can ask questions because the Prime Minister of the country refuses to speak to the people.
If I am going to not have answers then I might as well cancel the press conference.
I blame the media for not walking out on her and the rest of her team.
Issue a release, we don’t need a press conference for you to tell us you have NOTHING to tell us. What kind of crap is that.
She was not even apologetic she was dismissive and outright rude.
That woman is worse that Daryl Vaz and that I did not think I would have been able to see.
The information Minister has no information WTF.
No one seems to know what is going on in this government, no one, not even the PM !
She is easily the worst Info Minister we have ever had and she is not credible either.
The press briefing is sheduled every week. So she has to turn up every week.. whether she has anything to say or not.
Azan has now resigned, so she has a lot to say at the next meeting
Sir, nothing is written in stone. If you do not have anything to tell the media, postpone the meeting. She knew that was the topic of the day and if she did not have any information don’t go. Nobody was interested in anything else she had to say anyway. So it was better if she did not make any ass of herself. Listen to the snicker from the BBC reporters. Me shame so till.
Sandrea has nothing but contempt for the Jamaican people, she often disregards the media and whenever she is posed with a question, she accuses journalists of quibbling. This is the type of arrogance that the Jamaican people refuse to speak about. They got what they voted for.
You are so right about that one, Jamaicans got what they voted for.
One year ago I made this point about this woman and here we are again. Nothing has changed, she is not learning the job or the cabinet is hiding information from her, making her looks like an a$$ these press conference where she cannot seem to offer coherent response to the questions being asked.
My position remains the same, she should NOTbe allowed to continue a position in a public office and eat off tax payers money.
Just look at how she has expanded since being rewarded with this role, life is indeed good.
Do next to nothing and collect a nice package, who could ask for more
