“They are in a better place today, and if I was politically corrupt in doing that, I don’t mind it,” Azan said.
“I was there all day yesterday (Wednesday) and today (Thursday), and they are standing with me. I don’t have any regrets. They say they are firm and strong behind me,” Azan told The Gleaner yesterday.

I have always maintained that the PNP is a party that always supports corruption and continues to do so. I therefore not surprised about the way they have behaved on Richard Azan issue and reminds me vividly of the support Prime Minister Bruce Golding gave to Dudus for months before eventually allowing the law of land to take its course.
I never believed Portia Simpson Miller . when she declared she will NOT support corruption in her government , given the fact that corruption and corrupt acts have always been a part of every PNP administration that Portia Simpson Miller has been a part of and I have never hear he take a position against corruption in her party.
Given her failure to act in this particular case, we now know Portia Simpson’s Miller position and by her extension the entire PNP administration position on corruption.
