Since the Jamaican Prime Minister continues to hide from the Jamaican media and only issues press releases to the rather timid Jamaican media, maybe it’s time to invite one or two Chinese television stations to Jamaica to setup interviews with Portia Simpson Miller
The Jamaican journalist from the various media houses would then prepare their list of question for which, they would like answers to and then forward these to the foreign journalist, whom I do think this administration will cut the microphone on in the face of pressing questions.
Never before in our independent history have I seen a Prime Minister who is so reticent and not willing to face the Jamaican media, but has no problems giving interviews to the foreign press.
With the Government of China providing over j$1.5b in grants to the Jamaican Government, I do not see the Prime Minister and her handlers refusing to answer any questions from the Chinese media, after-all they have place their money where there mouth is.
It was Portia Simpson Miller who said in essence ” If you nuh have nuh money u caan chat to mi, if u want fi chat put money pon d table “. This can be interpreted to mean if you poor, then keep you mout shut and nuh seh nuttin.
So I am asking the Press Association of Jamaica and the media house, to invite your Chinese counterpart to Jamaica, so we Jamaicans, we the one who voted for this Prime Minister can get to ask her some questions and hopefully get answers.
