The appear to boast a pretty impressive resume both in terms of what they do and the revenue base of the company.
They are not only into the production of energy, but they are in exploration and product of the fuel (LNG) used to power their plants.
In doing a quick review of plants they own, I see they have a combined total of 195MW of generating plant in Asia and a 8.8MW plant in Australia, where the company is registered.
In terms of their revenue, this company dwarfs the partnership of Azurest and Waller Marine Inc, which had combined revenue of just US$3.17M in 2012.
EWI revenue in 2012 was a whopping US$145M and a gross profit of US$75M and net profit came it at US$21.5M,
This is the part of the directors report which caught my eyes.
We operate as a vertically integrated independent energy company.
We are a vertically integrated independent energy company. This vertical integration affords us greater certainty, physical security and control over our fuel supplies and our fuel costs.
Our interest in the Sengkang Gas Field, held through our subsidiary Energy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty Ltd (EEES), provides us with greater certainty that we will be able to obtain the additional gas required for the Sengkang Expansion and Sengkang LNG Project, while BPMigas’ approval is required for all gas sales contracts entered into by EEES, we are not dependent on reaching agreement with any additional third party gas suppliers.
Further, our planned ownership of the Sengkang LNG Project provides greater certainty that we will be able to source LNG for our Philippines LNG Hub. This integrated approach affords us considerable flexibility in our project planning and allows us to optimise our revenues at various stages in the energy chain for both domestic and international projects.
Here is a copy of their 2012 Annual Report.
The Jamaica Project would no doubt be their largest single project ever, but the certainly appear to be able finance this particular project that the partnership of Azurest and Waller Marine Inc.
I get the funny feeling that Azurest/Waller Marine Inc, will not be able to meet the OUR 15 days window to come up with US$6.5M and EWI will end up winning this project.
