OCG says Phillip Paulwell has compromised the 360MW generation plant bid process

Commonsenseja wrote the following back in July 2013.

I have information to suggest that many who are speaking out against the OUR are doing so out of sheer ignorance or misinformation provided by persons who are seeking to ensure the are not caught up in the mess they created.

I always say, give people the terms and references within which to work and then keep out of it, because meddling serves only to frustrate the process, resulting in long delays and then you become the fall guy.

Don’t believe everything you here, there is a lot of mis-direction at play here all designed to deliver a particular outcome, just watch the play.

Now 24hrs before the OUR is to report that Energy World International EWI, the Korean based company that Phillip Paulwell allowed to enter a bid for the project after the expiration of the bid submittal  has won the right to build and supply 360MW of electricity in Jamaica, the OCG has issued a damning report on the project.

So the winning bid goes to EWI who says it can deliver energy at US 12.85 cents per KWH and Azurest came in second.

Here is a copy of the damning report by the OCG

  1. At some point in time the finances of our politicians and political parties must be made public and any inconsistencies investigated.

  2. This report is very damning. Want to see how the PM will handle it. Or she since she doesn’t watch the news, she probably is not aware of it. Some major and disturbing points were brought up. In my opinion, this is bordering on outright corruption. Wonder if the Teflon Don can escape this one?

    • The PM will do nothing. Sorry the PM will give her cabinet minister her full support. She will await word from the DPP before deciding on a course if action.

He was only trying to make sure Jamaica gets lower electrcity bills and did NOT benefit directly from the process in now way, shape of form.
