Magazine names Portia Simpson Miller one of eleven women who could rule the world

When another magazine a few weeks ago named Lisa Hanna one of the world’s worst politicians  it was dismissed as nonsense.

Now we have another magazine naming Portia Simpson Miller as one of eleven women who could rule the world, I am waiting to hear the reaction of those same folks.

 

 

 

Portia Simpson-Miller is the current Prime Minister of Jamaica. Simpson-Miller was ranked byTime magazine among its “100 Most Influential Persons in the World” in 2012. She is a member of the Council of Women World Leaders, an international network of current and former female presidents and prime ministers.

Simpson-Miller has shown that she is willing to break with tradition when it no longer serves Jamaican interests. She has endorsed the replacement of the position of the British monarchy with an elected head of state for Jamaica.

She is the second head of government to openly endorse republicanism after former Prime Minister Percival Patterson.
