Roger Clarke continues to make the news for one asinine statement after another on what now become a major talking point in Jamaica and that is the first ever shortage of chicken back in Jamaica’s history.
Roger Clarke on a political platform recently said, that the rich in Jamaica was buying more and more chicken to feed their dogs and this is part of the reason for the current chicken back shortage. He then went unto to tell the rich that they should buy more oxtail to feed their dogs, so more chicken back can become available for poor people. ( Come like Roger nuh wan poor people fi eat oxtail after-all)
I sank into my chair, with a shocked look on my face, as I could not believe what I just heard from the Minister of Agriculture. It seems as if Roger Clarke was smoking something and more than likely he is embarrassed to know that the PNP who has always said its about protecting the poor, has place the poor in a position where they can no longer get the major source of protein the first time this has happened in Jamaica.
So no pork and oxtail as the people were led to believe and now to make matters worst, not even chicken back they can get, thanks to the government lead by the poor people Champion, Portia Simpson Miller.
So let’s just recap what Roger has said is the reasons for chicken back shortage.
- The JLP; under their administration people consumed more chicken back than ever
- USA consumption has increased as the cuts for barbecue takes more of the chicken back
- Closure of one processing plant and 50% operating capacity of another plant in the USA
- Increased consumption of chicken back in China
- Rich Jamaicans consuming more chicken back.
Next reason will be …… waiting for Roger Clarke
When will Roger Clarke just drop it and accept that the PNP lied and continues to lie to the poor Jamaican people ?

Roger Clarke is a total embarrassment and needs to go into retirement.
Roger Clarke – buffoon and clown. You know what was worse than his asinine comments? The applause from the audience.
We all, as Jamaicans, should be embarrassed that we have such a half-wit as a MINISTER OF GOVERNMENT. We definitely need divine intervention.
Anyway, I am off to get some “green backs” for my future plans…..

When someone suggested that many voters are idiots I said we cannot say that, but more on more as I listen to the politicians speak nonsense to thunderous applause from party faithful, the more I want to agree .
Chicken back now over $100 per pound !
Roger Clarke is not a capable minister, while in opposition he refused to support the policies of Mr.Tufton, however upon winning the election; he is pretending to be enlightened. Mr. Clarke is a big clown

First Roger said chicken back was short because the Americans were having a lot of barbecues and were cutting the back with the leg or some such foolishness. When he realised that it was total crap he is now blaming the Jamaican rich people for the shortage because they are feeding it to their dogs.
This is the same minister recycled minister who claims we were so progressive we could use one phone to call the other and say “hello”. He is an embarrassment and bankrupt of ideas!
That may be true but comrades love him to death. Jamaica is now the laughing stock of the world when it comes unto our selection of representative for politics.
The only thing saving us is our athletes .
