The Jamaican Prime Minister has been given many opportunities to speak to the nation on many national issues, but she steadfastly refuses to speak to the nation and goes about cherry picking what she speaks about. The Prime Minister will be quick to speak about soft issues such as sports, but mum is the word when it comes unto the things that matters the most for the country.
The Prime Minister who was so vocal leading up to December 2011, has been found wanting since Jan 2012 , refusing to answer most questions on performance of the country or any tough national issue.
The PM has all but wasted the political capital she garnered when she and the PNP clobbered the JLP at the polls and it has reached a stage now, when the PM does speak people are no longer willing to listen. The PM went to Cassia Park to rally the troops and encouraged them to come out and vote for the PNP, as she said a vote for the PNP candidate would be a vote for the continuation of the policies of her administration,
The people did not listen to the Prime Minister and soundly rejected her and her finance minister and in so doing sent her a message, one which read, we do not support your policies and you need to change course or you will be soundly rejected come 2016.
So the PM does not have to talk her way out of office, no sir, her stony silence when it matters the most will be enough to get the job done. so keep on doing what you are doing madame PM, its working, working, working.

The Gleaner has been championing for the PM to speak up more for about one year now and to date nothing. I don’t know when people are going to get it that PSM only interest was to become PM, getting her own mandate to complete her political career.
Using the love of poor people was only a stepping stone to fulfill her dream.
I have to agree with you 100%
I do not think her capital is spent out. There is some left and rest assured if she were to call an election now the PNP would win just by putting the JEEP on the road for the duration of the campaign.
Jamaicans never learn.
Another commonsenseja post a year ago, which is as accurate as it could have been given Bill Johnson poll results.
