As I reflected on the life of Priest Charlie Brown, retired Roman Catholic priest, whose life was apparently snuffed out by depraved criminal elements , I can no longer say Smile Jamaica, instead I am saying Cry Jamaica.
The Jamaican police this afternoon reported that a decomposing body found in Plantation Heights matches the description of 71 yr old retired priest and once again has shown the low levels than criminal elements have sunk to in this country.
I have personally know father Charile for just over 20yrs and he was involved in many of the church activities involving my family, from christening , weddings to funeral and to see his life snuffed out like this is really , really sad.
The worst part about this is the chances of someone being caught, brought to trial, convicted and sentence is only 20%, which means there is great chance that the culprits involved are likely to get away with this another heinous act. We hope however that the Father Charlie Brown case falls in that 20% and we can get some idea as to why, whoever did this act did so.
RIP Father Charlie, you will be surely missed.

All the elements of a failed state are revealing themselves daily. When former BNS CEO, Bill Clarke, said it several years ago, he was roundly criticized by the hypocrites. I was not one of them.
Jay, now you know why I am buying green backs – there is no future here, if we continue the way we have been going.
And Jay, it is not about PNP or JLP – neither of them cares about this country – it is all about SUVs, foreign trips, and other privileges for friends, family and special interests.
I rue the day I returned to live and work here.
I, too, know Father Brown personally when he served in the eastern end of Jamaica and lived on the famous hill.
I know what you mean.
