Gangster: American most evil. Starring Christopher Coke Peter Bunting.
Gangster – American Most Evil, was supposed to be a feature on Coke aka Dudus, but it appears that our National Security Minister decided to play a starring role in this documentary.
Mr Bunting appeared to have been caught up in the spotlight and proceeded to ” trash” the Government of Jamaica in the misguided belief that he was attacking the JLP, when he speaks with the international press.
Mr Bunting rant has done much damage to the government than the tape itself , he appears to failed to understand the the international media makes no distinction between JLP/PNP.
Very disappointed in the NS Minister and now someone , maybe AJ Nicholson needs to do damage control.

Not at all. It would be great having someone from the jlp come out and speak against criminal links in the pnp, not vague, ambigious statements but those we know are factual. Bunting shows a lot of “balls” speaking on the issue when the threat of reprisal is real.
People in America do not care about jlp and pnp they care about Jamaica. Bunting statement is an indictment on Jamaica not on the jlp.
I don’t think the JLP understands the extent of the damage Bruce Golding has done to that organization – if they did then McKenzie, Chuck, Shaw and Baby Bruce would be quiet and let the thing blow over.
What Bunting said is the truth, especially relating to the department of government he named; remember what the then PM said the then AG should do if she dared signed the papers?
Jay, I beg you, like any batsman worth his salt, leave this one way outside the leg stump.
Bunting made a series of claims that are a bit troublesome:
1.The JLP’s electoral campaign was funded by Coke
2.That Coke swung the vote for JLP in the 2007 General Election
3.The Attorney General’s Department was under the thumb of Christopher Coke.
Anyone with sense can tell you that these claims are as ridiculous as those give by 9/11 conspiracy theorists, UFO watchers and such conspiracy whackos. The man is obviously emotionally unstable,and has no business being a high level cabinet member. The best thing for him to would be to take a break and seek psychiatric help immediately.
1.) Govt Contracts issued to individuals and Companies aligned to either party are used to fund elections. 2.) Dudus’ influence and reach is/was islandwide. 3.) Having info on the extradition request is indicative of leaks at the highest level.
To answer
1. Unless Mr. Bunting has a money trail from Coke to the JLP, then, it is just rumour. He has no business making such public pronouncements without definite proof, never mind the cadre of rich overseas capitalist capable of funding either party.
2. If Dudus was enough to swing an election, then the JLP would be in power as soon as Jim Brown died. The JLPs 2007 victory can be traced to a higher turnout by middle class voters frustrated with PNP incompetence and scandal.
3. That simply means that the JLP has a leak, not Coke. I’m sure that the PNP would do the same for Skeng. That’s just reality I’m afraid.
I too have a problem with Mr. Bunting’s role in this documentary. In his quest to denigrate the JLP he made statements which could result in a defamatory lawsuit against him.
And I see that the regular PNP supporters/sympathisers are all jumping to Mr. Bunting’s defense.
@ Lipton. You made my point. The problem a lot of us are more concerned about what it does to the image of the party we support than for the truth to be addressed. If what Bunting said can be refuted then by all means do so.

We are split so many ways defending the JLP, PNP, Mr Bunting and Dudus when we all know the JLP is for themselves likewise the PNP Mr. Bunting is so against the JLP and this is clear from his utterances prior to and after the last election and Dudus was a business man that exploits where necessary to suit his business and image I believe its about time we think JAMAICA and come together and rid ourselves of anyone or anything who deliberately or inadvertently do or say to harm our country if not we will suffer the repercussions.
Please recall that Dudus came to prominence and grew right under Mr Bunting’s government for 18 of the 20 years that he ruled as a Don. They fed him the contracts and legitimized his dominance as Prezzi and it must have been that government that he had influence over since I understand the extradition came before they left office and they did not touch it.
Some Jamaicans r really political and accept criminality, because this guy pleaded guilty to crimes he committed and how the past prime minister then handled it was a shame. Hope Andrew don’t let because of the mind of some towards politics and crime carry him down the wrong road. Some Jamaicans get so use to doing the wrong thing it becomes the norm.look at how some of our police act like they r gods, some taxi man drive like this is a lawless country, some of the nurses treat people like they have no heart , not even going to mention our public servants form the prime minister right down to the security that works at ministry doors and gates, start to appreciate people and or jobs. Thanks to all who make Jamaica a place for families and to live in peace thanks again just keep up the good work. As we would say in Jamaica all a d little carless people unnu fi change r guwey.
