The Jamaican voters love affair with the PNP, will condemn Jamaica to the bottom of the pile in the Caribbean and Latin America. This party has never done enough to take this country on a growth path and its tenure has always been characterized by rampant corruption, waste and economic decline and this term will be no different.
The party does not seem to have the capacity to grow the Jamaican economy and Jamaicans will continue to see a decline in their living standards as long as they keep putting back this party in power.
People outside of Jamaica continue to be amazed at our choice of leadership and are getting more an more annoyed with our choices, given that each time PNP is in power , they face an increase in migration to their countries in search of a better life.

I have always asked myself that question. When comrades talk about their party they keep harping about the Manleys, founding principles and policies of the 1970s. They say these things while remain oblivious to what the party is about NOW. The PNP of the past is not the same party it is today. It is all about winning elections at any cost and rewarding party faithfuls after the victory.
remember that the JLP in 4 years did a run the country to a wreck.. High crime… no IMF .. Dudus Fiasco.. .So the electorate had no choice
What is run the country to a wreck? What was happening the preceding 18½ years? What is happening now?
We can blame them for not handling the extradition request better but those other stuffs are just smoke screen to mask the folly of Jamaicans hero worship of the PNP.
So I take it that in the 18yrs pnp was there we had low crime rate, the economy was growing, our debt were low, unemployment was low, dudus was a choir boy at church.
Oh by the way tell us of Tesha Miller was able to “migrate”.
Also explain who gave “thugs” a copy of the drug dealer which was signed by Peter Bunting just hour earlier.
The dudus extradition was poorly handled no question about that and JLP paid the price.
Today beheadings have become a common place and crime is down ?
We are looking forward to your answer.

In four years Newsweek, The Economist, Bloomberg News and Brookings Institute Praised Bruce Golding. In 18 years, the rating agencies claimed that Dr.Davies, targets were off track
Jay, I have to hand it to you – you nuh tired of the same thing day in, day out, here in your blog and all over the comments section in the newspapers? Ask yourself this question: what has beating up your fingers (typing) achieved?
Want to know what I have been doing? Buying up and saving green backs, working, and then chilling with family.
What you need to understand is that all of the politicians dem ok. So, far example, you could cuss PSM till you are blue in the face, she IS the PM, making about $7M/yr, and Holness is Opposition Leader (or is he?), making about $6M/yr.
I was in Kgn the other day, and all of the fast food place dem full; whether by fair means or otherwise, the sky will not fall in Jamaica – it is what it is.
Why are you buying up green backs? Don’t tell me you plan to skip town too.
Can’t blame you, its rough !

Behaving rationally – that’s what people do when, with limited funds, they buy cheaper imports.

I am doing my part
………. and what a fine job you are doing being irresponsible and all that!
Keeping you guys defending the wrongs and showing why comrades are bad for the economy. They are allergic to growth.
You may not like what I have to say and the truth really hurts but ahso it go.

One of the ironies associated with life in Jamaica. I like my Jamaican Jerk Chicken, and the masses love KFC. I spend very little on mobile minutes, while the masses chat non-stop on Digicel network, generating billions for them. I’m trying to find a woman who doesn’t bleach and/or wear weave is next to impossible, since it appears that is the “lick” these days. 😀 So despite the negative outlook forecast by Jay and his Minion Crew, people seem to have lots of disposal income. So, although a woman might buy a squeeze of toothpaste, that leave enough for her weave and calling card.
My guess Jay’s scaremongering is having zero effects and the people are partying like there no tomorrow. Of course this is part of Jay’s grand design, with claims that he is laying the groundwork to flee at the last minute. But knowing Jay, he cares too much about Jamaica and will be the last to abandon ship even when it is sinking. He tries to live on one of those small Island and came home because Jamaica is just part of his DNA. If you hear someone saying…damn you Portia, damn you Portia and Omar, damn you Portia (voice tapering off and becoming faint), ….yuh know that is Jay going down with the sinking ship and it is time to leave the Island. 🙂
Suitcases start pack already 🙂

Now saying the 18 years were the greatest. but the electorate ajudicated and said no.. Enough of the PNP, give the JLP a chance , because the PNP was running the country to a wreck. Within Four years, the same Electorate realized that the JLP was also running the coubntry to a Wreck…. So one can argue which party is black dog and which one is monkey…. but in a democracy, we will judge every election based on the past performance
I thought it was the dudus extradition that did it and not the economy ?

that is a part of the mix.. but remember they could not sign the IMF deal.. Andrew promise bitter medicine and Portia promise Jeep…. people prefer the jeep
Unfortunately a lot of Jamaicans believed that JEEP would’ve given them consistent employment. The way PSM spoke about JEEP before the election that impression was given. But unfortunately a lot of well thinking people are too partisan to properly inform the masses.

Are you by chance alluding to the JLP (partisan)? Were they so partisan to neglect their own basic responsibility to counter whatever misinformation the PNP was dishing out on the campaign trail?
If you are talking about the PNP, I’m at a lost for words to fully explain what your comments mean in the grand scheme of things. Maybe you want to come back and reconstitute your statements to make them more meaningful and comprehensible.
I am talking about the media, political commentators and the intelligentsia. They knew that JEEP was foolishness but they all remained silent or gave tacit support of it.
PNP = Poverty No Prosperity
