Andrew Holness should relinquish leadership of the JLP

Who is charge of the JLP and who should the public be listening to?

This pathetic bunch of wannabee leaders  cannot seem to agree on a damn thing and is making the incompetent PNP look like great leaders.

On almost every “freakin” issue that has come up in recent times, the leadership of the JLP cannot seem to have a coherent position, with each person giving views diametrically opposed to the other.

Take the case of the COE into the Tivoli incident back in 2010 and the subsequent releases from the JLP.  Dr Horace Chang the JLP General Secretary  has said the JLP will NOT participate in the COE but instead will be a watchdog as it seeks to protect the interest of the people of West Kingston.

Andrew Holness the JLP leader is reported to have said (via the Jamaica Observer) that the (same) JLP has not yet made a final decision on its participation in the COE, so who is really in charge?

If Andrew Holness cannot take charge of his dysfunctional party then he should step aside and allow someone with “balls” to take on the leadership. At a time when the ruling PNP is floundering like a fish on shore and gasping for air, the opposition JLP is offering no leadership to the country and cannot even act the part of a good opposition.

I do hope that Andrew Holness will be challenged at the party’s annual General Conference and loses or he steps aside before the conference  and allow the party to elect a real leader.

PSM as bad as she is (and she is really a poor choice for a leader), has more “balls” that Mr Holness.

Andrew Holness cannot and should not be allowed to be leader in the run up to the next election as the JLP will be decimated and will be condemned to the status of opposition for sometime to come and Jah know say we simply cannot allow that to happen.

PNP is bad for Jamaica and in just 18months in the new term we  can already see the complete chaos and destruction that comes with their leadership and as such we simply cannot allow them another bite at the cherry come 2016.

Let’s get the ball rolling, Andrew must go now !

  1. And who would you suggest replaces him?

    • I leave that up to the readers for now .

      • In other words, you have no clue. The JLP is a party is in shambles. There are now three distinct camps now within the JLP. Just look at their list of candidates that contested the last election. A synod of fools, jesters and tainted individuals.

Just yesterday, Dr. Horace Chang said the JLP has NO intention to participate in the proposed Tivoli Gardens Commission of Enquiry. Hours later, the leader of the party, Andrew Holness, publicly stated that there is no decision yet as to whether the JLP will participate in the enquiry. Talk about a party in chaos; they can’t even speak with the same voice or from the same script. I guess they do not want a repeat of the testimony of the Former Minister of (Security) Buffoonery in front of the whole nation.

If they want to have a chance, they better send for Dr. David Panton. But knowing their genetic predisposition to eat their young, I doubt they will go that route.

        • Test ,
Just take a few minutes to read what you right no man, your deductive skills need sharpening.

        • Test, the pnp is not speaking with the same script either. For example, after hurricane Sandy Sandrea Falconer praised Jps, Paulwell bashed it. Hylton’s and Nicholson ‘s views on Caricom are different and Thwaites was lambasted by Horace Dalley for criticising the teachers. Dr David Panton will not lead the jlp because the Jamaican people will reject him and you know why

        • The PNP has to go in 2016. I will be coming back and trying to get other in the diaspora to come back just to get rid of them.

  2. Jay, you have now become a full “convert”? If these clowns continue, we will be stuck with the pnp charlatans for decades?

    • Sam,
These guys needs a kick in the you know where. I shudder to think of the possibility of the PNP going until 2016 much less beyond that.

This country simply cannot survive another term of the PNP and like Redwood many of us and now considering options outside of Jamaica.

  3. I would take Holness over PSM anytime. The PNP will not get another four consecutive terms in office again. It is mainly the older people that tends to be ‘die-hard’ supporters. The younger people are more discerning with their vote.

    • I don’t care for PSM at all I just need a stronger leader for the JLP than Andrew is at this point in time.

    • Mediocrity is not what we seek. When i talk about change, it is about having leadership of the highest standard, so using PSM as a benchmark is not an option.

  4. There is no problem with the JLP, except that everyone wants to be the Leader!

Holness has already qualified for his pension for the brief time he spent as Prime Minister (2 months, Jay?). So although he will remain Opposition Leader until retirement (yes, Jay it will be that long) he will get the same salary as the then sitting PM for his pension. Nice setup, eh?

  5. Seems Gleaner and Jay are on the same page on this one.

  6. It seems like Jay stir up things again.
I would only say, that I speak my mind and ” mi nah ole down mi head and chat”.

Unlike many who care only to defend, I will go on the offensive against even those to whom I lend support, if I believe they are wrong. That is the main difference between myself and many other, who refuse to speak out/speak the truth to whom they normally would support.
