The world’s 8th largest economy is facing serious protest by Brazilians who have complained about rising prices, increased taxes, while lavish spending is taking place as Brazil prepares for the world cup.
The straw that broke the camel’s back was a 9 cent ( yes 9 cents) increase in the price of bus fare.
While back at home in Jamaica, amidst massive devaluation, rising food prices, double and triple digits increases in taxes, higher electricity rates, massive borrowing, increased corruption and wanton waste, Jamaica are very happy and heaping praise on the ability of the PNP to look after and protect the interest of the poor.
Jamaicans are not yet hurting enough !

That is why we have been stagnant as a Country. We turn around and provide the grease instead of standing up and demanding accountability. Until our collective attitudes change, we will continue to “hope and pray” for transformation.
Sam you are absolutely right. I continue to be amazed at our ability to defend those who are “raping” us, while patting us on the back and telling us, ” it going to hurt a little but the pain will soon go away and you will be just fine”.
Jamaica is like a woman who is being abused by her man, but keeps going back to him, for whatever that reason is.
In the end it never works out and has always ended up bad if the woman tries to walk away, just look around and you see what I am talking about.
Jamaicans wake up before its too late, maybe it is already too late.
