Is the Jamaican Prime Minister back from her vacation?

Seems like our PM has very little respect for the Jamaican populace and treats them with utter disdain. Last week we received word from the OPM that our PM was off overseas for vacation and she would return, Sunday, June 16, 2013.

It’s now Monday, June 17, 2013 and we are left to guess if the Prime Minister is back on the island.

What is really going on ?

I think the OPM needs to do a much better job.

Some people would venture to say it’s neither here or there if the PM is on the island as it seems to make no difference anyway, however I think a little respect is due to the people of Jamaica.

  1. Yes she is back, she was in Mobay at the diaspora conference. Sunday night.

  2. Don’t expect to see anything posted on this blog about this article appearing in today’s Gleaner. Noooooo, Jay as usual, is only preoccupied (some might describe it as an obsession) with sensationalist headlines about the Prime Minister. He and his army of minions are focused on the what Azan (a Politician) did at the Spauling Market (small change), while the fat cats are bleeding the country dry.

I call upon Jay to use his investigative skills, in conjunction with his vast network of “insiders”, to shed some light as to whom this Western Importer is. I have all confidence in Jay’s ability to uncover this very important information in record time, since we cannot depend on the Gleaner (much less the Observer) to divulge to the public this key piece of data. In fact, I’m surprised he was unable to predict it before hand, given his demonstrated power of clairvoyance. 🙄

Western Jamaica Importer Facing Customs Probe

The Customs Department has launched a probe into allegations that a major importer, operating out of western Jamaica, breached the Customs Act after failing to pay just under $1 billion in duties on meat and other agricultural produce.

It is understood that the investigators found the unpaid duties that should incur fines in the region of $3 billion, bringing the total figure due to almost $4 billion.
