Get ready for the revolution ?

In a BB Broadcast, which has been widely circulated since this morning purportedly from the JTA President warned teacher to get ready for the revolution.

The broadcast said amongst other things ( I am paraphrasing now), the time has come when a minister of government can get up in parliament and unilaterally remove our benefits  which we have fought long and hard for and we cannot sit done and allow this act to go unnoticed .

The time has now come for us to act so let’s get ready for the revolution.  It went unto to suggest that teachers keep their ears “peeled” for the next course of action.

If this BB was in fact circulated by the JTA President, what does he mean by a revolution ?

Mr Clayton Hall , can we hear from you sir, this is a very serious statement.

  1. It means that the JTA has finally awaken out of their slumber. I guess the NAJ will be next. Very quiet organisations of late.

  2. is this the start of the passive resistance i was expecting from the unions?

  3. Education ministry says no backing down of its policy on teacher benefits

  4. Perhaps when the Teachers (and others) are not paid for a few months they will finally “get it”. This is the time to get into survival mode. We don’t seem to take lessons from places like Greece and Cyprus.

The IMF has had to provide $90M to the GOJ just for budgetary support.

I always wonder how long Teachers (and others) can strike for before their mortgages and other obligations become due.

People will perhaps finally get it when their money in the bank is taken to ay debt.

I got a safe the other day to buy and keep foreign currency in – I am not going to be like the frog that sat in the pot and eventually got boiled, because the water felt nice and warm initially.

People can say what they want about this post, but I am acting in my family’s bestinterest – just like the Reverend Mr. Stanley Redwood.
