Now that the PNP has failed, who do we turn to, God ?

Over the last two weeks there is growing signs that the political directorate  is not only lost, they also have no road map to get the country out of the woods and is now increasing looking to a “higher being” for help.

Now there is NOTHING fundamentally wrong in seeking divine intervention, that is perfectly fine, but you must also have some sort of a plan to present, after which you ask for assistance from above to successfully complete that plan. ( Faith)

God is not going to come down from heaven to help us sort out the mess that we created over the last 50yrs, he gave us a brain and all the wisdom and knowledge we need to solve our problems, but all we have done thus far is to use that knowledge deceptively to enrich ourselves and those around us.

We have more persons in parliament today with more Degree than they can possibly use in their lifetime and more that what existed in parliament in the 1960’s.

We have more “degree’d” (but less educated) consultants advising these “degree’d” cabinet minister than at any other point in our history, but yet we cannot seem to make progress.

We have more MBa’s and Bsc, BA graduates in business today possibly more than at any other point in our history,  but what has been their impact on good governance both in the private and public sector.

Given all the above, Jamaica appears to have the right human ingredients required to make this country a successful one, so why are we failing and doing so in spectacular fashion.

CONFRONTING OUR DEMONS – LAMBERT BROWN

Published yesterday.

While the article did no refer to  actual demonic stuff, we wonder about the choice of the word demon.

Peter Bunting appears to also have concluded that the “demons” have take over the  National Security of Jamaica and now we need divine intervention.

Again, I am not opposed to  nor do I believe that God should not be in the mix, but I get worried when people who are willing to do anything to get and retain power suddenly start reaching out to God.

Let me explain this before you get the wrong impression.

History has taught us that some of the most deceptive people amongst us have been able to allow us to drop our guard once they start invoking God and have use religion in particularly Christianity to fodder their feather.

A leader like Portia Simspon Miller who is likable  should she start to see her fortunes slipping and her losing control, will invoke God into the midst, not with a view of saving Jamaica per se , but instead saving her own skin.

Getting this “christian” country to side with her and having her tell us that “God” says this is the way we need to do things to rescue the country from being controlled by demons and that Jamaica should support her along with way, is not beyond this Prime Minister.

As the bible say be on the look out for false prophets and let us learn from our past.

 

With our backs against the wall I think the call for a ” Coalition Government” at this time is most URGENT.

We must have  recognized that individually we cannot do it, so its time the two parties get together and focus on what is good for Jamaica. Create a long-term plan which involves input from the Jamaican people and one that the public  will buy into.

We MUST do this for Jamaica because we are now at a point of no return.
