We have information which links the contractor who is at the center of the shops and the Spauldings Market controversy to Member of Parliament, Richard Azan.
We understand that the contractor on that house is no other than Mr Bryant, that is the same contractor who Richard Azan gave permission to build 10 shops on the Parish Councils property and in turn collected rent at Rich Azan constituency office .
Mr Azan ‘s actions appears to be bordering on corruption, given the personal relationship that appears to exist and the actions he took in relation to this contractor illegally building on government land.
The PNP has been back into power for 15months and have appeared to have picked up where they left off in 2007.
One Councillor was heard saying words to the effect ” nuh worry Richard, we are all comrades and comrades look out fi each other. Nuh watch nuh face this is another 9 day wonder, soon no one will be talking about this. Hol d faith Richard, we will stand by you cuz a comrade all a we. We are here to stay, we are working in the interest of the people and we will work to ensure that the PNP dominate the council for a long long time”.
Local Government Noel Arscott has spoken on the issue and so we do not expect to hear a peep out of the silent Prime Minister.

Not surprised at all. Accountability is non-existent in our country. Was watching the news last night and saw this Cur making these statements. As always, loyalty to party not principle.
Until we the people demand better, we will get “representatives” like the one quoted above. In any other self-respecting country, Azan, the Mayor the the “cruff” who spoke would have to resign – not here.
Only Bruce resigned cuz the Americans apparently had him by his delicate parts.
