Dr Omar Davis thinks its all optics and will make a good letter to the editor and really offers nothing in terms of savings to the country. The PNP administration has been in power now for 15months and has done nothing to express solidarity with the poor of Jamaica, while calling those who choose to agree to a wage freeze as true patriots.
The PNP leader and Prime Minister has no credibility and should resist all attempts by detractors for her and her large whatnot to accept a pay cut as it would not have been voluntary, but forced by public pressure and the PNP must show that it must be willing to take tough decisions, that has no impact on cabinet members .
Recall cabinet members must live the life they had prior to entering representative politics and any salary cut or loss off perks at this time, would only serve to lower their standard of living and that in simply UNACCEPTABLE !
Full speed ahead driver !!
Nuh watch no face.

The Cabinet taking a pay cut now would me pretty meaningless to me. Any seem of symbolism of solidarity evaporated with the pressure that the government is now coming under for that pay cut. The symbolism would only have been realized had the Cabinet given of themselves without much public pressure.
The cabinet should not take a paycut, the gleaner’s advise should be followed, meaning that people like Roger Clarke, Natalie Neita Headley and Kellier can go.
Agreed but and Bobby Pickersgill to that list, he is a perennial non-performer.
