Possible 100% increase in property tax coming ?

The Gleaner today is reporting that property taxes could go up by a minimum of 100%, when the bitter medicine is administered come April 1, 2013. Land taxes in Jamaica are low, no doubt about it, but this coming at a time when we have huge taxes increase as well as increases due to the slide of the Jamaica dollar , will certainly put this country deeper in another recession.

This is the price Jamaicans pay for its inability to think beyond their bellies !
