After a prolonged silence, Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller is back. She recently announced that the local government elections will be held on March 26, 2012 and has made a number of other public appearances since then.
Imagine my surprise when I heard the Prime Minister asking the Commissioner of Police, to conduct an investigation into the claims made by the opposition leader, Andrew Holness at a G2K meeting, when he said ” The PNP promised to tun up d ting and since they have been there d ting tun up, murders are up” etc.
Now I am not sure what PSM wants the police to investigate:
- Does she want the police to investigate the claim that crime has been on the rise?
- Does she want the police to investigate, who is responsible for the increase in crime, in particular murder?
- Does she want the police to investigate the person who made the claim ?
What is puzzling is, the PM has been largely silent during the period when over 152 murders had been committed since the start of the year, only now to break her silence by calling on the police to investigate the claim made by the opposition leader that the ” PNP a tun up d ting”.
My guess is we will here a lot from her leading up to the local government polls come March 26, 2o12, then it will back to silence once again and planning for the next election, while leaving the running of the country to Dr Peter Phillips , PJ Patterson etal.
By the way I notice that there are jobs for the boys once again.

So who are these appointees replacing Jay? Who are they replacing? Who is getting up out of their seat to make way for the replacements Jay?
The tooth fairy? Or is it that at one point or the other since Sept 2007 someone had made appointments entitled “jobs for the mens dem?”
